New brain scan tested to spot dementia earlier
NCT ID NCT05384353
Summary
This study tested a new type of brain scan to see if it could better distinguish between different causes of memory loss and thinking problems, like Alzheimer's disease. Researchers compared the new scan to the current standard scan in 134 people, including healthy volunteers and patients with uncertain diagnoses. The goal was to see if the new scan could provide clearer pictures of brain changes linked to specific symptoms.
