Brain scans may reveal if cancer treatment will work

NCT ID NCT04566185

Summary

This study tested whether two types of brain scans (PET and CT perfusion) could predict if patients with recurrent glioblastoma would respond to bevacizumab treatment. Researchers enrolled 14 patients whose brain cancer had returned after standard treatments. The goal was to see if scan results before treatment could identify who would benefit, potentially helping doctors choose the right therapy sooner.
