Summary
This study aims to understand how the brain's outer layers handle thinking and decision-making in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers will insert a thin, high-tech probe into the brain for a short time during awake deep brain stimulation surgery. The study involves 15 adults aged 45-85 who are already scheduled for this surgery. It will not treat Parkinson's directly but will gather valuable knowledge about brain function.
