New brain monitor could predict survival after injury
NCT ID NCT04459806
Summary
This study is testing a new brain pressure monitor to see if it can better predict how patients recover from serious brain injuries. It will observe 250 adults with traumatic brain injury or stroke who need pressure monitoring as part of their standard care. The goal is to see if a new measurement, called 'pressure time dose,' is linked to survival and recovery six months later.
