Heart surgery brain oxygen drop linked to memory loss?

NCT ID NCT07361068

Summary

This study looked at whether drops in brain oxygen levels during heart surgery are connected to memory and thinking problems that can happen after the operation. Researchers monitored 102 adult patients having planned heart surgery to see if those who had low brain oxygen were more likely to have cognitive issues. The goal was to identify risk factors to help doctors better predict and potentially prevent these complications.
