Brain scans may predict knee surgery success

NCT ID NCT07464080

First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

Knee replacement helps many, but 1 in 5 patients still have pain or trouble moving after surgery. This study looks at brain scans (MRI) before and after surgery to see if certain brain patterns can predict who will be satisfied. Researchers hope to find brain markers that help doctors better plan care for people with knee arthritis.
