New Light-Based monitor could help protect premature Babies' brains
NCT ID NCT02601339
Summary
This study is testing a new, non-invasive bedside monitor that uses light to measure blood flow and oxygen use in the brains of premature infants. It aims to see if this technology can better track brain health in babies who have had a brain bleed or developed fluid buildup, compared to babies with other conditions or healthy babies. The goal is to find better ways to monitor these infants and guide their treatment to improve long-term development.
