New scan aims to solve brain cancer imaging puzzle

NCT ID NCT06015295

Summary

This study is testing if a special type of PET-CT scan using a tracer called Axumin can help doctors better understand brain metastases in patients on immunotherapy. It aims to tell the difference between real cancer growth and harmless swelling that looks like growth on standard scans. About 20 adult patients with brain metastases who are on immunotherapy and have confusing scan results will participate.
