First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a special PET scan (called 18F-DOPA PET-CT) can find brain metastases as well as or better than standard MRI in people with lung cancer, breast cancer, or melanoma. 32 adults with untreated brain metastases took part. The goal was to see if this PET method could improve detection and help guide future treatments.
