Do brain scans tell the full story? scientists test thinking skills in cancer patients

NCT ID NCT01445483

Summary

This study aimed to understand how radiation treatment for brain tumors affects patients' thinking skills like memory and attention. Researchers tested 35 adults with cancer that had spread to the brain before and after standard radiation therapy. They tracked whether changes in thinking test scores could help predict how patients would respond to treatment over time.
