Precision radiation aims to protect brain function while fighting cancer spread

NCT ID NCT05013892

Summary

This study is testing a more precise form of whole-brain radiation therapy designed to protect healthy brain tissue while treating cancer that has spread to the brain. Researchers want to see if this approach helps maintain patients' quality of life and reduces symptoms better than standard treatment. About 41 adults with brain metastases from solid tumors will receive the targeted radiation along with a standard medication called memantine.
