Radiation precision test: can smaller margins fight brain tumors with fewer side effects?

NCT ID NCT02747303

Summary

This study compares two approaches to radiation treatment for brain tumors that have spread from other cancers. Researchers want to see if using no extra margin around the tumor (0 mm) works as well as the standard 2 mm margin at keeping tumors from growing back. The goal is to control the brain tumors while potentially reducing side effects like radiation damage to healthy brain tissue.
