First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested a special MRI scan that shows how brain tumors use energy, using an injected substance called hyperpolarized pyruvate. Researchers wanted to see if this imaging could help doctors make better treatment decisions for people with glioblastoma, a serious brain cancer. Seventeen patients took part, and the focus was on safety and measuring changes in tumor activity over time.
