Virtual reality could bring stroke rehab home

NCT ID NCT03807401

Summary

This study aims to develop new at-home rehabilitation methods for people with 'unilateral neglect,' a common condition after a stroke where individuals have difficulty noticing one side of their space. Researchers are testing whether virtual reality or mental imagery exercises can produce similar benefits to current hospital-based prism goggle therapy. They are enrolling 480 healthy volunteers first to understand how these new methods work before testing them with patients.
