Computer aims to predict brain crises before they cause damage
NCT ID NCT06966713
Summary
This study is testing a computer system designed to predict dangerous increases in brain pressure or drops in brain oxygen in patients with severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). The goal is to see if the system can accurately warn doctors 30 minutes to several hours before these harmful events happen, which could allow for earlier intervention. About 120 patients will be enrolled to collect data, but all care will follow standard protocols; the system's predictions will not be used to change treatment during this testing phase.
