Scientists probe Children's brain chemistry after trauma to unlock recovery secrets
NCT ID NCT05717647
Summary
This study aims to better understand what happens inside a child's brain after a severe head injury. Researchers will observe 50 children (ages 3-16) in intensive care by using special monitors to track brain pressure, oxygen levels, and chemical changes. The goal is to gather information that could help improve future care for children with traumatic brain injuries, but this study itself does not test a new treatment.
