First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether small amounts of brain inflammation contribute to movement and thinking problems in people with Parkinson disease. Researchers will use a special PET scan with an experimental tracer to measure inflammation in the brain. The study includes 80 volunteers aged 50 and older, both with and without Parkinson disease. The goal is to better understand how inflammation relates to symptoms, not to test a treatment.
