Brain computer tries to stop seizures before they start
NCT ID NCT03946618
Summary
This study is testing the safety and basic function of a new brain implant system for people with severe, hard-to-treat epilepsy. The device senses brain activity, uses a computer program to predict seizure risk, and can deliver small electrical pulses to try to prevent seizures from happening. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce seizures and improve mood and thinking for participants.
