Mind-Controlled tech: brain implant trial offers hope for ALS independence

NCT ID NCT07446114

Summary

This study is testing a brain implant called the Synchron BCI in people with ALS who have lost the use of both arms. The implant is designed to detect brain signals related to movement and translate them into commands to control digital devices, like computers. The main goal is to see if the device is safe and can help restore some functional independence for participants.
