Scientists scan brains to unlock mystery of progressive speech loss
NCT ID NCT01818661
Summary
This study aims to understand how a progressive speech disorder called apraxia of speech changes the brain over time. Researchers at Mayo Clinic will use repeated MRI and PET scans on 50 participants to see how brain changes relate to worsening speech and language skills. The goal is to learn more about the disease's progression, not to test a treatment.
