Brain scans reveal why psychosis treatments fail for many
NCT ID NCT03442101
Summary
This study uses repeated brain scans to understand why standard antipsychotic medications don't work well for many people experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Researchers will follow 156 young adults who have never taken these medications, scanning their brains four times over eight months of treatment. The goal is to identify different brain patterns that predict treatment response, which could lead to more personalized and effective future therapies.
