Summary
This study aimed to better understand the thought and speech patterns, like racing ideas or losing track, that occur in people with bipolar disorder. Researchers used brain scans (fMRI) to compare the brain activity of 79 people, including those with bipolar disorder and healthy volunteers, while they performed language tasks. The goal was to learn how the brain processes meaning and connections between words during different mood states.
