NCT ID NCT04658628

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at whether brain scans can help predict which people with long-term low back pain will respond well to spinal cord stimulation (SCS). Researchers will scan the brains of 42 adults before they receive SCS as part of their normal care, then check their pain levels two weeks after treatment. The goal is to find a brain-based marker that could help doctors choose the best candidates for this therapy.
