Brain scans reveal hidden inflammation in back pain - can an old antibiotic help?

NCT ID NCT03106740

Summary

This study aimed to see if brain and spinal cord inflammation is linked to chronic low back pain. Researchers used advanced brain scans on 60 patients to measure this inflammation. They also tested whether a two-week course of the drug minocycline could reduce both the inflammation and patients' pain levels.
