Scientists probe Kids' brains to unlock secrets of weight gain
NCT ID NCT04701671
Summary
This study aims to understand how children's brain function, particularly skills like memory and self-control, might be linked to their weight changes and eating patterns over time. Researchers will follow 180 children for 18 months, using brain scans and thinking tasks to see if certain brain activity predicts future weight gain or episodes of feeling out of control with eating. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help create better prevention and support programs.
