First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study aims to improve depression treatment by finding better ways to measure brain excitability using a technique called TMS. Researchers at Stanford will enroll 145 adults with moderate-to-severe major depression. The goal is to see if optimizing the stimulation target can produce more reliable brain signals, which could lead to more personalized and effective treatments in the future.
