First seen Jun 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked for hidden brain damage in 38 adults hospitalized with COVID-19. Instead of relying only on MRI scans, researchers used electrical tests to check how well the brainstem was working. The goal was to see if COVID-19 can affect the brain even when standard imaging looks normal.
