Scientists scan brains to unlock secrets of chronic jaw pain

Summary
This study looks at how different parts of the brain connect in people with long-term jaw pain (TMD) compared to those without pain. Researchers will use MRI scans to find patterns that may explain why pain becomes chronic. The goal is to better understand the condition, not to test a new treatment. About 95 women aged 18 to 65 will take part.
