Mind-Controlled therapy helps stroke survivors walk again

NCT ID NCT04279067

Summary

This study tested a new rehabilitation therapy for people who have difficulty walking after a stroke. It combined a brain-computer interface, which reads brain signals, with functional electrical stimulation, which activates leg muscles. The goal was to see if this high-tech therapy could improve walking speed and function more effectively than standard physical therapy alone.
