Mind-Controlled robot arm therapy shows promise for stroke recovery

Summary
This study tests a new therapy that uses a brain-computer interface (a device that reads brain signals) combined with mirror therapy (watching a video of your good arm moving) to help stroke survivors regain arm movement. The robot helps move the affected arm based on brain signals. The trial will include 40 adults who had a stroke 1 to 6 months ago and have trouble moving one arm. The goal is to see if this approach improves arm function more than standard therapy.
