Scientists map how injured brains shrink over time

NCT ID NCT05725993

Summary

This study aims to understand how traumatic brain injuries affect the brain over three years. Researchers will compare MRI scans, blood samples, and thinking tests from 110 people with moderate-to-severe brain injuries against healthy volunteers. The goal is to measure how quickly brain tissue shrinks after injury and identify patterns that could help future treatments.
