Sound waves target brain cancer in new treatment trial

NCT ID NCT07274787

Summary

This study is testing whether a device called the NaviFUS system, which uses focused ultrasound, is safe and might help when used with the standard drug bevacizumab for adults with glioblastoma (GBM) that has come back. The ultrasound is meant to temporarily open the blood-brain barrier to potentially help the drug reach the tumor better. The main goal is to check for safety, but researchers will also look at whether the treatment helps slow tumor growth and improve survival.
