Targeting the Brain's 'Nursery' to fight aggressive cancer

NCT ID NCT02177578

Summary

This study is testing if aiming a higher dose of radiation at a specific area of the brain, called the subventricular zone, can help control a fast-growing brain tumor (glioblastoma) for longer than standard radiation. Patients receive the usual chemotherapy alongside the radiation. The goal is to see if this focused approach delays the tumor's return compared to standard treatment.
