Targeting Brain's 'Nursery' to fight deadly cancer recurrence

NCT ID NCT02177578

Summary

This study is testing whether aiming higher doses of radiation at a specific area of the brain, called the subventricular zone, can help control glioblastoma tumors for longer than standard radiation. The trial involves 60 adults with newly diagnosed glioblastoma who will receive radiation and chemotherapy. Most participants will get the modified radiation plan, while a smaller group receives the standard approach, to compare how long the cancer stays under control.
