Scientists hunt clues to Radiation's hidden toll on brain cancer Patients' minds

NCT ID NCT07226466

Summary

This study aims to understand why radiation therapy for brain tumors can affect patients' memory and thinking skills. Researchers will track 40 adults with brain tumors, taking blood tests and brain scans before and after their standard radiation treatment to look for biological signs linked to cognitive changes. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help predict or prevent these side effects, not to test a new treatment.
