NCT ID NCT07534319
First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at why about half of stroke patients don't fully recover even after successful emergency treatment to reopen blocked brain arteries. Researchers at the University of Zurich will use special MRI scans to measure blood flow changes in the brain over time. The goal is to find a way to identify and understand this 'reperfusion failure' so doctors can improve recovery for future patients. The study involves 100 adult stroke survivors who will have three follow-up scans over three months.
