New trial aims to stop stroke damage before it worsens

NCT ID NCT07365150

Summary

This study is testing if a drug called tranexamic acid (TXA) can help control brain damage after a specific type of stroke called an intracerebral hemorrhage (brain bleed). Researchers are trying a new, more precise method to select which patients might benefit most, based on where and how large the bleed is. The goal is to see if this targeted approach can prevent the bleed from getting worse and improve patients' recovery.
