First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study uses advanced 3D X-ray imaging to track how fatty plaques in brain arteries change shape and size over one year in people who have had a stroke. Researchers want to understand plaque evolution under strict control of risk factors like blood pressure and cholesterol. Participants must be 30-85 years old with a recent stroke and at least 60% narrowing of a brain artery. No new treatment is tested; the goal is to learn more about the disease.
