Scientists probe Brain's 'Awareness Switch' in epilepsy patients

NCT ID NCT06934356

Summary

This study aims to understand how specific deep-brain arousal circuits influence visual perception. Researchers will measure brain activity in epilepsy patients who already have implanted electrodes, while they perform simple visual tasks. The findings could help develop better treatments for various brain conditions where perception is impaired.
