NCT ID NCT04735458

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at brain activity related to non-motor symptoms like depression and attention problems in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers will record brain surface signals during routine deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery. About 140 participants who are already scheduled for DBS will take part. The goal is to better understand how the brain controls attention and movement, not to test a new treatment.
