Brain zaps to save muscles: new hope for burn victims
NCT ID NCT07435402
Summary
This study tests a new rehabilitation approach for patients with severe burns who are on a ventilator and sedated. It aims to see if stimulating the brain with techniques like magnetic pulses and virtual reality can help prevent the severe muscle wasting that often occurs. The goal is to help patients recover muscle strength faster and leave the hospital sooner.
