First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether a simple breathing technique called box breathing can help reduce anxiety, pain, and nausea in adults undergoing a procedure called ERCP. About 70 participants will either receive standard care plus box breathing training or standard care alone. Researchers will measure anxiety, pain, and nausea before and after the procedure to see if this easy, nurse-led method improves patient comfort.
