New cap device aims to ease swallowing for thousands

Summary
This study tests a new tool called BougieCap™, a special cap attached to an endoscope, to widen short, non-cancerous narrowings in the esophagus. About 200 adults with trouble swallowing will be treated and followed for 6 months. The goal is to see if the device can safely and effectively improve swallowing and reduce the need for repeat procedures.
