Botox tested as new weapon against scarring

NCT ID NCT06349733

Summary

This early study investigated whether Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox) injections could prevent scars from forming after surgery or traumatic injuries. Researchers tested three different doses of Botox on 50 patients with wounds on various parts of the body, comparing them to a control group receiving a saline injection. The goal was to find the most effective dose and see if this approach works for different types of wounds and locations.
