Ancient herb put to the test in modern pain science
NCT ID NCT07109843
Summary
This study aims to understand how a natural supplement called Boswellia serrata might affect how the body feels and processes pain. Researchers will give the supplement or a placebo to 12 healthy volunteers and then use a safe, temporary pain model (a capsaicin patch) to test pain sensitivity. The goal is to learn the basic mechanisms of how this supplement works, not to treat a specific condition.
