Summary
This trial is testing a bone marrow transplant as the first treatment for people newly diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia, a rare disease where the body stops making enough blood cells. It aims to see if transplants using half-matched family members or unrelated donors can be a safe and effective initial therapy for patients aged 3 to 75. The goal is to control the disease by replacing the faulty bone marrow with healthy donor cells.
