New transplant strategy aims to cure cancers in HIV patients

NCT ID NCT05470491

Summary

This study is testing a new combination of drugs designed to prevent a dangerous complication called graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after a bone marrow transplant. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and effective for people living with HIV who have blood cancers that can be treated with a transplant. Participants will receive a transplant from a partially matched family donor and take the study drugs to help their body accept the new cells and fight the cancer.
