Do bone scans need different rules for people with obesity?

NCT ID NCT04301427

Summary

This study aimed to determine if bone density scan results should be interpreted differently for people with obesity. Researchers measured bone density twice in 120 participants with obesity, grouping them by body mass index. The goal was to see if the standard measurement thresholds used for non-obese people are equally accurate for those with higher body weights.
