Can your Body's makeup predict if your IBD treatment will work?
NCT ID NCT07162701
Summary
This study aims to understand if changes in body composition (like muscle mass) can predict how well new medications work for people with active inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Researchers will follow 48 adults with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis who are starting specific advanced therapies. They will use a simple, non-invasive device to measure body composition at the start of treatment and again at 6 months and 1 year, while also tracking standard disease activity measures.
