Mind-Body therapy tested to help people with leg pain walk farther
NCT ID NCT07250776
Summary
This study tested whether adding body awareness therapy to standard physical therapy helps people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Fifty-one adults with PAD were split into two groups: one received standard exercises, and the other received standard exercises plus body awareness therapy. Researchers measured if the combined therapy improved walking distance, pain, sleep quality, stress, and fear of movement.
